Reacquaint yourself with the classic 1999-2005 line-up with a handful of dates this September
It's been just over a decade since US-bred indie-rock luminaries Luna officially called it quits but there's still latent life left in the veteran outfit, with the band announcing that they will be building on their already-announced appearance at the forthcoming Brisbane Festival with a pair of headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
The line-up for their impending Aussie jaunt will be familiar to fans who followed the band during the latter years of their career, from 1999-2005 — founding member Dean Wareham (ex-Galaxie 500), bassist Britta Phillips, guitarist Sean Eden and drummer Lee Wall — who together were responsible for two of the band's seven studio albums, plus an EP and a live effort: Luna Live! (2001), Romantica (2002), the Close Cover Before Striking EP (2002) and Rendezvous (2004).
Fans Down Under will have the chance to catch Luna in action once more not only at the Brisbane Festival, where they play on Tuesday, 15 September (see the event website for details), but at Sydney's Newtown Social Club on Wednesday, 16 September, and Northcote Social Club, in Melbourne, on Thursday, 17 September.
Tickets for both headline shows are available via the venues. See theGuide or check The Music App for more information.
