The 'Headstrong' scribes will play five shows here this July
Long-serving Californian hard-rock/nu metal outfit TRAPT will make their maiden headline voyage Down Under this year, playing five shows around the country on a whirlwind week-long visit this July.
The band will kick off their debut Australian tour in Perth with a show at Amplifier Bar before heading round through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
TRAPT have been around since the mid-'90s, weathering multiple line-up changes, though frontman Chris Taylor Brown and bassist Pete Charell have been with the group since its inception. Drummer Brendan Hengle joined in 2016, while lead guitarist Ty Fury — who had been a part of TRAPT since 2014 — left earlier this year.
Best-known for their 2002 Platinum-selling single Headstrong, the band have been a consistent force on the US and international touring circuit, having shared stages on sojourns with Papa Roach, Halestorm, Nickelback and Motley Crue, among others, appearing at events such as the UK's Download Festival, Germany's Rock Am Ring and Crue Fest, which toured through the US and Canada in 2008.
