More Unwritten Law More Unwritten Law

Unwritten Law vocalist Scott Russo was arrested by the Tampa Police Department on a warrant for Violation of Probation: Possession of Marijuana, Dying Scene reports.

The group wound up playing at Crowbar in Tampa the night before, with another singer taking over Russo’s vocals. However, Unwritten Law ended up cancelling their Fort Lauderdale show, which would’ve taken place today, with the band promising to share more information in the coming days.

The cancellation post reads, “Unfortunately, this is not the post we want to be making. The show tonight in Fort Lauderdale is cancelled and refunds will be issued. We need another day to be able to share more information and we promise to.

“The venue has been great in all of this and its our fault, not theirs. We very much plan to make it up but since we do not have a new date, refunds are the best option at this time. We've talked with the promoters in Orlando tomorrow and Jacksonville for Saturday and those shows plan to go on as scheduled.”

Dying Scene also states that Russo’s bail is set at $50,000.

Unwritten Law recently postponed their Australian tour due to “unforeseen circumstances” - the band would have performed in Gosford on the night of the postponement announcement.

The 17-date run would've been Unwritten Law's most extensive Australian tour to date. Addressing their Australian fans, the band made the following statement:

"Australia, it breaks our hearts to announce that we must postpone our current AU tour. We want you all to know that you mean the world to us and that we wouldn’t have made this decision unless it was absolutely necessary. Since we all took a global break from touring, things just aren’t the same as they were and we are not in a position to continue the tour as planned.

"We are working tirelessly to reschedule dates and make sure we return with everything you deserve. Ticket holders will be notified via email with instructions soon. Your existing tickets will be valid for the new dates, however, refunds will also be available. We will continue to update you on the situation as things develop. Please stay with us, we owe you everything.

"Scott, Chris, Jonny, Wade, Scotty and Mickey.”

The rescheduled dates haven't been announced yet. In the meantime, ticketholders still interested in going are advised to hold their tickets, which will be valid when the band returns.
