Universal Renew Distro Deal With ABC

The new deal includes ABC Kids Music, who they've nabbed from Roadshow.

Universal Music Australia have renewed their distribution partnership with ABC Music's Contemporary and Classical labels, with the new deal also seeing them pick up ABC Kids Music, formerly with Roadshow Entertainment.

ABC Music's head Robert Patterson said today, "Like Universal, ABC Music is at the forefront of innovation in the music industry, and as the business continues to rapidly evolve, this solid partnership will see us capitalise on the great depth of the ABC Music catalogue and our unique and diverse roster of artists.”

He added, "We are also extremely grateful to Roadshow Entertainment, who have been our Kids Music partner for several years, and we thank them for the significant role they have played in making our Kids Music label the successful enterprise it is today.”

The new deal took effect 1 July.
