Gimme Gimme (NSW)

Better ft. Keiynan Lonsdale

Gimme Gimme are a longtime brother-sister duo who have already hit the jackpot and toured all around Europe, living the good life and playing music for some swanky Europeans. Now the pair are back in Australia giving this Aussie music thing a red hot go, and their newest track, Better, is a slow, sexy jam that will have you looking at your significant other with big heart eyes. Lots of lush synths and groove-heavy beats make the track great, but this song's highlight is the obvious creative ease between Esther and Will Henderson. Their vocals meld together perfectly, giving an excellent round sound that truly makes the song. Keiynan Lonsdale also delivers a beautiful verse that adds something special and keeps the listener interested. Fans of Baseball Game will love this chilled duo, and especially this collaboration with Lonsdale.

Frankie (VIC)

The Show

Frankie has delivered the world her third track at the tender age of 19, but the song brings a voice that seems well beyond her years. The Show sees Frankie fully come into her own and lay her emotions bare, detailing her inner feelings in a mature but powerful way. While it’s tempting to categorise the song as ‘angsty’ because of her youth, The Show goes much deeper than that, and it’s impressive to see such well throughout songwriting decisions. Lovers of Duffy or Gabriella Climi will adore Frankie's husky but strong vocals.

DICE (WA)

Eyes Ahead

WA band DICE have continued to up their game over the past year or two, and this new release, Eyes Ahead, is no different. A reggae beach groove carries the boys in the verse before they jump into a guitar-heavy and raucous chorus. Lead singer Ben Hodge leads the band through the peaks and troughs of the song, proving to be the rock of the band. Typically, DICE are full of sunshine, love and good vibes, and while none of that has changed, there is a new level of agony and blues in this song that suits them well. Fans of Teenage Dads and The Vanns will love this new track by DICE.

Zhuli (NSW)

Bleach

Don't miss a beat with our FREE daily newsletter

Bleach is the newest hit from Sydney-based artist Zhuli, and its suggests that there might be big things in store over the next few years for the pop queen. Bleach mimics a slow synth-pop version of old-school electronic duo Purity Ring, mixed with the sass and fun of Ariana Grande. Zhuli has seemingly mastered the art of less is more, keeping the song reserved and controlled. Her vocals are soft and sweet and mix perfectly with the fun, pop-heavy beats littered throughout. We can’t wait to see what she does next.

DIVEBAR YOUTH (SA)

deadlock

Exciting, intense and full of surprises, Vinnie Barbaro AKA DIVEBAR YOUTH, brings us his newest creation, deadlock. We’ve followed along on Barbaro’s journey since his release of IN THE HIVE last year, and his newest song does not disappoint. Filled with trap-like beats, Arabian-inspired melodies and a strong rap verse from an unlisted collaborator, we are quickly becoming obsessed. It’s short and sweet but packs a punch, scratching a music itch that we didn’t even know we had.
