"This album is in no hurry to destroy you. But it will. It will."

More Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats More Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats

UK-bred psychedelic rockers Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats have been laying low for a little while, but not any more — the cult band are crawling back into your consciousness with the announcement of their fourth full-length, The Night Creeper.

Due for release on 4 September, the album is in true Uncle Acid fashion, with the press notes claiming, "songs ooze louche evil over flesh-melting riffs that creep like hot magma bubbling up through the earth’s crust at their own malevolent pace. This album is in no hurry to destroy you. But it will. It will."

To coincide with this release, Uncle Acid are also heaving their horror-loving bodies over our way for a short headline tour of the east coast this December, off the back of their Meredith Festival appearance. They'll head to Brisbane's Crowbar on Thursday, 10 December, Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on Friday, 11 December and finally Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Sunday, 13 December.
