It's been an uneasy road to the finish line for Uncaged Festival, and unfortunately this weekend's Brisbane line-up has been slashed in half and the festival is now down to one stage and been shifted to indoors.

The Uncaged Festival Facebook Page just issued a statement about this weekend's Brisbane event. It hasn't been easy sailing for the festival, with a number of re-schedules, venue changes and more. Now it seems that half the lineup on the Brisbane event won't be making this weekend's event - instead there will be an Uncaged Encore event in June for those bands not playing, free for Uncaged Ticket holders. Also, it looks like Melbourne's event is now at Festival Hall - which doesn't seem to have been announced anywhere yet on social media - details here - https://uncagedfestival.com/melbourne

We regret to advise that due to circumstances beyond our control, UNCAGED will be proceeding in Brisbane as a 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 in the Ballroom at Eatons Hill.
Whilst this is not ideal for us or a portion of our bands, it is an unavoidable scenario and beyond the control of event organisers. We would much prefer to proceed with the show in this format rather than cancel it all together. We have faced significant adversity throughout the last few months and refuse to fall at the final hurdle.

As such, a number of our lower tier bands will not be able to appear on Sunday 24 April, however, we are pleased to confirm that we have secured Sunday 5 June for an “Uncaged Encore” show featuring the bands that can not appear this Sunday (subject to their schedules) at a Fortitude Valley venue.

This will be a FREE event for all Uncaged ticket holders and will give all of the bands longer set times and an opportunity to play for their Brisbane fans. Ticket holders will receive communication on securing their free ticket via their registered Oztix email within the next week.
