After another successful year of bringing electronic music to our shores, ULTRA Australia has confirmed its return for 2027.
Once again, ULTRA Australia will return to Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse for its eighth edition, taking place on Saturday, 17 April. A multitude of “chart-topping artists” will appear across multiple stages at the massive festival grounds.
For its fourth instalment in Queensland, ULTRA Beach Gold Coast will make its debut at Doug Jennings Park on Sunday, 18 April. The new waterfront setting offers coastal scenery and a vast, open-air setting.
ULTRA Beach Gold Coast will introduce the dedicated RESISTANCE Stage for the first time in the festival’s history. While organisers haven’t teased or announced a line-up today, they say adding the RESISTANCE Stage will expand the festival’s “focus on house and techno programming.”
You can register for pre-sale tickets for both events here. Pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday, 5 November, at 10 am AEST, followed by the general sale on Friday, 6 November, at 12 pm AEST.
Keep an eye on The Music for when the line-up drops.
This year’s edition of ULTRA featured The Chainsmokers, Zedd, DJ Snake, Darren Styles, MaRLo, Nico Moreno, Oliver Heldens, Miss Monique, Alesso, Dimatik, KAAZE, HI-LO, and more.
The international EDM festival brand officially landed in Melbourne in 2019, allowing Australian electronic music fans to experience ULTRA first-hand.
Since then, it’s become a staple festival in the electronic community, with major acts such as Afrojack, Alesso, Oliver Heldens, and fan favourite Steve Aoki blessing the Aussie stage.
ULTRA made its Gold Coast debut in 2024 with a sold-out event and continued its run this year, expanding into a multi-stage event.
With over 40,000 punters attending the events in previous years, ULTRA is one of the most beloved events on the Australian EDM calendar.
The Australian iteration was voted the 88th EDM festival in the world by DJ Mag’s readers’ poll in 2024 (its parent event, ULTRA Music Festival US, made it all the way to #2, beaten to the top spot by Belgium’s Tomorrowland).
