Two punters at Darwin’s Lostfest were reportedly rushed to hospital on Saturday night after taking an unknown purple pill.
News Corp reports that three attendees who took the drug needed immediate medical attention, two of them being sent to hospital, and the other treated onsite.
“All three people had been to the Ski Club and all advised they had taken the purple pill,” St John Ambulance spokesman Kevin Blake told NT News.
“For it to have been an emergency response they would have had your typical altered levels of consciousness and possibly breathing problems.”
Testing revealed the drug to be a synthetic schedule 2 substance, and is reportedly being distributed following the drug Snapchat, which also saw a number of users taken to hospital in the state last year.
All three punters were stabilised after receiving medical attention, and two men were reportedly arrested and changed with possession of illicit drugs of MDMA and LSD at the festival.
