More Troye Sivan More Troye Sivan

We knew it was going to be a close call but the results are in — Troye Sivan has scored the #1 spot for his debut EP Wild on this week's ARIA Albums Chart.

The 20-year-old internet sensation has stunningly beat out UK heavyweights Iron Maiden who debuted at #2 with their sixteenth studio album The Book Of Souls.

It caps off an incredible week for Sivan whose new material has been praised by international pop artists Taylor Swift and Sam Smith this week, and the UK Charts have also brought up impressive results, albeit in favour of Iron Maiden.

The veteran heavy metal band's album debuted at #1, while Sivan took out the #5 spot, though the news will do very little to dishearten South African-born, Perth-based Sivan, given his sensational debut in Australia.

US metal act Five Finger Death Punch's Got Your Six cracked the top three as expected as it clinched third spot, while last week's highest debut in The Weeknd dropped down to #4 and Brit singer Ed Sheeran rounded out the top five with his hugely successful sophomore album, X.

Meanwhile NWA's 1988 debut album Straight Outta Compton has jumped up into the top ten following last week's placing of #39 to take out the #8 spot, while the hip hop group's Greatest Hits record also jumped up considerably from #24 to land at #9, not to mention Dr Dre's Compton, inspired by the film, finished at #6.

As expected, Justin Bieber's new track What Do You Mean? held on to top spot on the Single Charts, while the title track from Sivan's Wild EP debuted at #16.
