Just days after announcing the line-up for this year’s One Night Stand, triple j has revealed the location for the festival’s epic return.
For the first time in ten years, the event is returning to Victoria. The 2024 edition of One Night Stand will be held at Friendly Societies Park on Peek Whurrong Land, Warrnambool, Victoria, on Saturday, 14 September.
The announcement was made today after triple j Breakfast hosts Concetta & Luka have dropped teasers all week. One of the hints they shared? It’s the last stop on the V-Line train from Melbourne. Some clever people in the triple j Reddit figured out the location thanks to that one.
The return of triple j’s One Night Stand is a one-day, all-ages concert starring G Flip, Ruel, What So Not + Friends, Thelma Plum, Sycco, DICE, a triple j Unearthed winner, and special guests.
One Night Stand was last in Victoria in 2014, stopping in the regional city of Mildura. Warrnambool is another big regional town, but it’s a stunning place to visit by train or car (a three-hour drive from Melbourne), with possible whale sightings on offer.
In addition to sharing the location of the festival today, triple j has revealed that it will host the More Than A One Night Stand Sessions in partnership with Music Australia.
