Triple J has announced that the station's new First Nations program is set to hit the airwaves this Sunday, 20 June.
Hosted by Yuin and Thunghutti rapper Nooky, Blak Out will showcase First Nations and Indigenous artists. It's set to host features, interviews, premieres and stacks more across all genres.
Nooky said of the new program, “Blak Out is the FUBU of radio: For Us, By Us. From old unk singing round the fire to the lil' cuzzo spitting fire, this show serves more heat than nan’s curried sausages. Represent the present, remember the past, showcase the future!”
Nooky is signed to rapper Briggs' label Bad Apples, and the theme music for his new show was created by Briggs' AB Original bandmate, Trials.
To hear Black Out tune into Triple J from 5-6pm every Sunday.
