In a bid to support local artists struggling in the wake of the coronavirus crisis, triple j has announced a special edition of its annual Ausmusic T-Shirt Day.
Taking place on Friday 17 April, music lovers are encouraged to buy merch from their favourite artist or band's website or throw on an old tee to show their support.
All ABC networks will commit to playing all-Australian music on the day as well, including triple j, Double J, triple j Unearthed, ABC Radio, ABC Country, ABC Classic and ABC Jazz.
The announcement comes just months after the 2019 Ausmusic T-Shirt Day, which raised an “unbelievable” $260,664, with funds going to music charity Support Act to provide crisis relief and mental health counselling services to those in the music industry who are doing it tough.
