A great week for local music!

Triple J’s new music additions this week reads somewhat like a dream Aussie festival poster, with Tame Impala leading the charge with The Slow Rush.

The new album from WA psych-rock maestro Kevin Parker has been crowned this week’s Feature Album by the youth broadcaster, following its stint as The Music’s Album Of The Week.

The Music review noted Emily Blackburn noted that "The Slow Rush sees Parker doing more of what Parker does well: the musically deep, intricate soundscapes tell a story through funky riffs and unique effects, tones and instrumentation.”

Also being picked up this week is Alex Lahey’s first new single for the year, Sucker For Punishment, a follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed The Best Of Luck Club LP, while Violent Soho’s Lying On The Floor, taken from their newly-announced album, Everything Is A-OK, also makes the cut.
