Probably as close to the real thing as you’ll get, tribute act The Smyths have confirmed a run of Australian headline dates for 2019.
Now in their 15th year, the group will perform The Smith’s seminal The Queen Is Dead in full alongside a collection of the band’s greatest hits, including There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, Big Mouth Strikes Again and more.
The Smyths have stated they “spent a year rehearsing every week to make sure that when we launched we sounded genuine”.
“The Smiths and their fans (like us) demand nothing less,” they said.
The tour kicks off early February in Melbourne before taking in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
