More Tones & I More Tones & I

Just days out from her appearance at BIGSOUND in Brisbane, emerging artist Tones & I has released her new EP, THE KIDS ARE COMING.

The release comes on the back of the global success of her track Dance Monkey which is not only aiming to top the ARIA Singles chart for the fifth-straight week tomorrow, but has also peaked at #1 in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, as well as landing in the UK top 50, in recent weeks.

The Byron Bay-based songwriter has also made her US chart debut, coming in at #49 on the Emerging Artists chart, while Dance Monkey has placed at #22 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart.

The US chart debut comes at a perfect time for Tones & I who has signed with Warner-owned Elektra Records according to Billboard

Elektra features a roster that boasts the likes of Foy Vance and Brandi Carlile.

THE KIDS ARE COMING is about how old minded people think that the youth of today are constantly on their phones and consumed by social media,” Tones said.

“But really, the kids of today stand for community, celebrate gay pride, they are trying to stamp out racism, stop Adani, repair The Great Barrier Reef and many more. It’s more than just a song, it’s a movement. I truly believe that the youth of today have the power to change the world.”

Following her trip to BIGSOUND, Tones & I will embark on a sold out tour of Australia next month. Check out theGuide for more details.
