Toby Martin Announces Solo Shows Upon Album Release

Love's Shadow, the debut solo album from Youth Group's Toby Martin is set for release on Friday 27 July and he has today announced a couple of solo shows to help bring the record into the world in the right kind of way. It's all fairly new territory for Martin, the solo life, after 13 years with Youth Group up until their hiatus began in 2009. He's stepped into this brave new world quite confidently though, with residencies at some intimate bars in Sydney and New York before stepping out in support of Seeker Lover Keeper, but the release of this record and the launch shows will be the next big step for the artist.

The record was written in Sydney and New York, recorded with Youth Group collaborator Tim Kevin and mixed in Nashville by Mark Nevers (Bonnie Prince Billy, The Silver Jews); all this matched with Martin's natural songwriting prowess makes Love's Shadow a very exciting new release for 2012.
