“We should destroy the myth of what we call normal and practice in synergy as well as constructive criticism.”

Alt-country/rock outfit Tobias Wonderdog have today made a strong first impression with their debut single, Not Bliss.

The Melbourne outfit, fronted by singer-songwriter Mat Weaven, drew influence from the lives of Midnight Oil and John Frusciante when penning the song.

“I think as people, we lose out on connectivity these days and get too caught up in feeling sorry for ourselves,” Weaven said.

“We should destroy the myth of what we call normal and practice in synergy as well as constructive criticism.”

Weaven also enlisted Mark Kennedy (Men at Work, Jimmy Barnes and many more) to co-produce the track and play percussion.
