The nominees for this year’s SAM Awards have been revealed, seeing Tkay Maidza lead with seven nominations, while other Adelaide buzz acts Grenadiers and Timberwolf scored four each.

An industry event will take place on November 11 to determine the winners of the 14 categories, followed by a ticketed after party at Fowler’s Live, hosted by triple j’s Dom Alessio with performances from SKIES, Shaolin Afronauts, Sparkspitter and West Thebarton Brothel Party.

"We're delighted with the outstanding calibre of nominees in the artist and industry categories,” said Music SA General Manager Lisa Bishop.

“This is the first year Music SA takes custodianship of the rebranded and renamed South Australian music awards.”
