As the Australian Open nears, organisers have announced a stellar line-up of acts to keep tennis enthusiasts entertained between matches, including fellow tennis enthusiast Tkay Maidza (she even has a song called Tennies), Birds Of Tokyo, Jimmy Eat World and Peking Duk.

You can also catch the Jon Stevens/Daryl Braithwaite/Ross Wilson superband, The Temper Trap, The Living End, DMA'S and Missy Higgins, with support acts including Bad//Dreems, The Bennies, The Belligerents and Archie Roach.

Curated by Mushroom, chairman Michael Gudinski says, "Once again, Mushroom Events is thrilled to be involved in curating the 2017 schedule of artists to perform during the Australian Open.

“The live music program has grown over the past few years and established itself as a key addition to the greatest Tennis Tournament in the world. The variety of music on offer is appealing to all ages."

The all-star list of acts will play at the Australian Open Live Stage at Birrarung Marr for the first time, with the first two shows of the season (Maidza and Higgins) confirmed to be free.

Peking Duk exclaim, "We can't wait to see Serena. She is the greatest sporting icon of the last two decades in so many ways. Also a great opportunity for us to jump on the ones and twos and get jiggy," while Higgins says, "I've always been a big tennis fan so this is really exciting for me."
