The West Australian outfit broke the news fresh from a triumphant visit to triple j's 'Like A Version' show
Acclaimed West Australian band Tired Lion have announced their first-ever national headline tour this July in honour of their forthcoming sophomore EP Figurine.
Riding high on the considerable buzz garnered by recent single I Don't Think You Like Me, the band undoubtedly earned a fresh burst of interest mere hours ago following their appearance on this morning's edition of Like A Version, on triple j.
Along with delivering a stunning rendition of I Don't Think You Like Me, the WAMI-winning four-piece expertly spliced up local heroes Violent Soho (Saramona Said) and alt-rock vets The Smashing Pumpkins (1979) to rapturous response, resoundingly proving themselves an imaginative, intelligent crew of musos in the process — in case there was any latent doubt.
Tired Lion will be launching their Figurine EP from Thursday, 23 July, at Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge, with the tour also taking in shows in Sydney (24 July), Melbourne (25 July), Adelaide (26 July) and Perth (8 August).
