Time2rock is a new nationwide volunteering initiative with a local focus and a shamelessly cool music twist. Its about encouraging young Aussies to give two hours of their time to a worthwhile community-focused cause – they will then be rewarded for their efforts with music content and tickets to exclusive concerts featuring acts like Cut Copy, Cassette Kids and End of Fashion.
Sony Ericsson is the backer behind the cause here in Australia, with Modular Records helping to rally artists to get involved. The 2008 gigs will be held in three regional areas - places that usually would be overlooked.
The rest of us can get our teeth into free content primarily related to the gig lineup artists in exchange for our good deeds.
