We grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney, Australia with awesome parents, have been blessed to tour the world as pop artists, married our childhood sweethearts and now live with our families in Las Vegas, USA. It’s not lost on us that it’s the people, the loves of our lives and the music that has surrounded us that combines to make the most amazing ‘soundtrack’ we could imagine.

We’ve always loved pop music both as fans and creating it ourselves - from our first song written together in our shared bunk bedroom to now coming full circle to writing this album; it’s still just two brothers having fun and doing what we feel we were born to do.

Soundtrack of My Life feels like the most personal and authentic album we’ve made yet. As brothers, we've always been about making music that comes from the heart, but this time, we really let that brotherly bond guide us. For years, Mike and I have shared an unshakable passion for writing and performing together. But with this album, we decided to lean into our connection in a way that was fun, effortless, and filled with a lot of love—both romantic and familial. It’s like we finally embraced everything we are and just let the music flow naturally.

The whole album is built on themes that have always been at the core of who we are. The songs aren’t just about the music itself; they’re about the love we’ve experienced in life and how that love, in all its forms, has shaped us. Whether it's the love we have for our wives, our kids, or our late Nan, it all comes through in the lyrics and melodies. Each song represents a snapshot of a moment in time, a feeling, or an experience that we hold dear. Writing and recording this album was like creating a soundtrack for our own lives, filled with joy, nostalgia and everything in between.

Story Isn’t Over is one of those songs that really resonates with me. I wrote it during a trip to Nashville in 2022 with a good friend of mine. Some songs just stick with you and this was one of those. The chorus felt so classic, there was something about it that I knew we had to make a part of this album. Mike loved it as soon as he heard it and as we thought more about what this album meant for us, the idea of the “story not being over” artistically felt perfect. It’s a reminder that, as artists, there’s always more to create, more to say. We finally completed it in a way that honoured the feeling it had from the very first day we wrote it and the response from everyone who’s heard it has been amazing.

Another track that speaks to our shared experiences is My Paradise (Party Pies). The inspiration for this one came from the simple, beautiful moments in life when you're first falling in love. When you're just starting out together, even the small things feel extraordinary — like barefoot on the grass, eating party pies, even drinking from paper cups. It’s those moments that become memories you hold onto. For us, it’s also about capturing that magic as a couple—how sometimes you just want to get back to those humble beginnings. We really wanted to give this track a dreamy, laid-back vibe, with those layered harmonies in the chorus. It’s a tribute to love, simplicity, and finding joy in the little things.

Too Late was a track that you could say we had started work on years ago with some early Tierney Brothers demos - back in the mid-2000s. We wrote a whole bunch of songs with our friend Paul Aiden. At the time, nothing quite felt right, so we put it on the shelf. But as we were working on Soundtrack of My Life, Paul reached out with a new song idea that had made him think of us. He had no idea we’d started TBros again! When we heard the chorus melody, we were instantly hooked and wanted to finish it with him. The lyrics, too, spoke to us—it’s about those moments when you wish you’d said or done something differently, when you realize you can’t go back and change things. It’s a feeling everyone can relate to and it hit home for both of us. It also felt like the perfect song for our brother’s harmonies, so we brought it back to life and made it fit seamlessly with the rest of the album.

Ultimately, this album was about creating something that felt real and true to who we are. We didn’t set out to write hits—we just wanted to make music we loved; about things we loved. And I think that joy comes through in every song. From the breezy folk-pop vibes of My Paradise (Party Pies) to the uplifting energy of Story Isn’t Over, there’s a sense of fun and possibility throughout. We’re always evolving as artists, and this album marks a new chapter in our creative journey, one that’s filled with endless possibilities.

At the end of the day, Soundtrack of My Life is our love letter to music, family, and the moments that make life worth living. It’s a celebration of all the things that have shaped us—both as individuals and as brothers. We’re just so grateful to be able to continue making music that reflects our lives and the people we love. The fact you would listen, indulge us and hopefully enjoy the record is so humbling — songs inspired by our lives and others we have witnessed. We’d like to think that one of more of these tunes might be added to the wonderful soundtrack of YOUR life and become a shared moment that connects us with you forever.
