Tia Gostelow Signs Global Recording & Publishing Deals

2017 will be year to remember for Gostelow.

More Tia Gostelow Tia Gostelow

Following a massive 2017, which has included some Queensland Music Award wins and very impressive BIGSOUND performances, burgeoning songwriter Tia Gostelow has inked global recording and publishing deals.

The 18-year-old Queensland-based artist has signed a recording deal with US label AntiFragile Music; brainchild of Tom Sarig who manages the likes of Lou Reed, Against Me! and Cake, as well as a global publishing deal with Melbourne-based Native Tongue.

The signings come in the lead-up to the release of Gostelow's new single, Hunger, a track that came about during a writing session with Sydney outfit, Little May.

"We started chatting away just having a casual conversation about music and our life and we got onto the topic of how I had been experiencing a lot of tall poppy syndrome back at home," Gostelow said.

"I had always struggled with making good friends and staying in friendship groups all through out high school, I always felt a bit like I was an outsider, I wasn't bullied or anything, I just always felt people didn’t understand what I was doing with music and how serious I was about it."

Hunger will be officially released on 10 November.
