Thundamentals Confirm Member's Departure: 'We Are Sorry To See Him Go'

The group have released a statement.

Thundamentals have confirmed that PON CHO is moving on from the group.

According to triple j, the producer is putting his career on hold to invest more time into cryptocurrency, Bitcoin.

"[I] just took a bit of a punt back when Bitcoin was about $4K a pop, that was only like three months ago or something, and took a punt with a couple other different cryptocurrencies and some of those punts paid off," PON CHO said.

"And I kind of reached this point where I was like well maybe I should just do this for a bit."

In a statement posted to Facebook on Wednesday, the hip hop outfit confirmed the news.

"PON CHO has been a MASSIVE part of our band over the past 5 years or so and his contribution to our last 2 albums and our live show has been incalculable," the post reads.

"He is an incredibly talented musician but more importantly he is a brilliant, funny, intelligent and kind hearted person.

"We are very sorry to see him go, but he knows that the doors are always open here at camp Thunda if he ever wants to collaborate on music in any capacity in the future."

The Music has reached out to PON CHO for further comment.
