UK alt pop duo will play two gigs here in July
London-based alt pop upstarts Thumpers have announced that they will make their debut appearance in Australia in July.
With help from Chugg Entertainment and Hub Artist Services, the acclaimed duo will play a very limited run of two shows, one each in Sydney and Melbourne, in the wake of the release of their lauded debut full-length, Galore.
Thumpers will play the former city's Newtown Social Club on Thursday, July 10, and the latter's Northcote Social Club the following evening.
With recent support slots for the likes of esteemed international artists such as Ms Mr, Two Door Cinema Club and Chvrches, as well as a widely celebrated appearance at South by Southwest, the pairing of Marcus Pepperell and John Hamson, Jr. - a former touring drummer for Friendly Fires - is making all the right in-roads on the way to inevitable significance.
