Finally Returning To Australia, Faithless Are Paying Homage To The Beloved Maxi Jazz While Looking To The Future

This Week's Releases

Haim, Tumbleweed, Lorde and more

HAIM - Days Are Gone (Polydor/Universal)

The hype surrounding these three sisters is huge, but their debut LP makes it difficult to deny their talent. Days Are Gone is filled with every kind of pop you can think of - soul pop, synth pop, even a bit of Prince pop. This is a slick, sexy and edgy album - one that truly lives up to the hype.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Float Along - Fill Your Lungs (Dot Dash/Remote Control)

The newy from the Melbourne psych punkers is all kinds of fuzzy, indie rock goodness. From the epic 15 minute opener Head On Pill, you'll be transfixed by the band's third release in 12 months. We've been streaming it on theMusic all week so why not get in a last minute listen before it comes out?

Tumbleweed - Sounds From The Other Side (Shock)

Wollongong stalwarts Tumbleweed are back with a brand new record and it's good. So good, it makes you feel like they never really left. The LP doesn't reinvent the band's classic sound, but it's not a lazy rehash of the good ol' days either. Get amongst it!

Lorde - Pure Heroine (Universal)

The 16 year-old New Zealand sensation is certainly the flavour of the month right now, on the back of her mega-hit Royals and The Love Club EP. Aussies will get the chance to hear her new album live very soon too, with the songstress performing some headlining shows in October plus Laneway Festival early next year.

Zeahorse - Pools (HUB/Inertia)

We've been waiting to get our hands on the debut album from the Sydney swamp rockers and luckily for fans, we've been exclusively streaming the release on theMusic all week. Turn this grungy, dirty and dark collection of rock up real loud a few more times before it drops tomorrow.
