Franz Ferdinand - Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action (Domino/EMI)

The confident sound that the Franz Ferdinand fellas emerged with nearly a decade ago hasn't been tweaked too much on this, their fourth album. But the band don't rehash on Right Thoughts, they simply deliver another collection of catchy, alt-rock for your ears.

Avenged Sevenfold - Hail To The King (Warner)

US heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold have never been fans of giving a fuck what people think and that shows through on their sixth studio album. Their brand of balls-out stadium rock is undeniably good, even if the LP is over-the-top and filled with vanity.

Sara Storer - Lovegrass (ABC/Universal)

The lovely Sara Storer is back with another collection of stories to tell. Lovegrass is mostly an ode to the last three years of her life but also features an ANZAC tribute with John Williamson on the track Pozie. King Krule - 6 Feet Beneath The Moon (XL/Remote Control)

An angry yet simple debut release is about to drop from British singer-songwriter King Krule. Behind all the gloom and self-loathing is an artist who is lyrically brilliant. While the record is a tad long, it's certainly worth sticking out to the very end.
