Pet Shop Boys - Electric (X2/Kobalt)

Album number twelve for the synth pop pioneers has come in the form of Electric - and it is well worth the long, overdue wait. There's a collaboration with Brit electro-rapper Example and a Bruce Springsteen cover, but mostly this is just pure magic from the pair who have made such an imprint on music in their thirty year existence.

Jay-Z - Magna Carta... Holy Grail (Universal)

So much had already been said about this release from the hip hop mogul before it even dropped - now that it's out, it remains to be seen whether this is the record to remind us of the rap talent Mr Carter has in between his entrepreneurial and celebrity lifestyle.

Vydamo - Becoming Human (Sony)

The debut LP from Art Vs Science maestro Jim Finn is out this week and if you're expecting a few Magic Fountain moments on this, think again. This is pop of a different kind from Finn. A mix of tempos and synths, approach Becoming Human without prejudice and you should be pleasantly surprised.

Pluto Jonze - Eject (Stop Start/Inertia)

We've been keen to get our hands on the first ever full release from this Sydney-based indie artist. Eject is filled with plenty of dance-friendly tracks and a couple of slower pop gems that should please the masses. If you want to sneak in a listen before it's officially out, we have got you covered.
