Sarah Blasko - Eternal Return (EMI)

Our Album Of The Week, Blasko's new 'un comes "complete with the range of feels that one little word tries to capture". Songs like "gender bending" I Wanna Be Your Man are "fabulous", while "Maybe This Time claims victory from the jaws of relationship failure's defeat". We gave Eternal Return four stars.

City Calm Down - In A Restless House (I Oh You)

The debut album from City Calm Down is "a sonically calculated, varied and well produced release", with a directed that is "concise and meditated". Jack Bourke "possesses a stark resemblance to Nick Cave and Ian Curtis" with his "throaty vocal tones" — tracks like Rabbit Run, Son and Nowhere To Start are highlights. We gave it three-and-a-half stars.

You Am I — Porridge And Hotsauce (You Am I Records)

This album will sound like "the most 'You Am I-sounding' album of their last few", given their last few have been more "Rogers solo songs - as played by the band". Songs like One Drink At A Time and Buzz The Boss will make you "remember the scruffy swagger that made you love them in the first place" — You Am I have "still got the goods". We gave the album three-and-a-half stars and are streaming it exclusively here.
