Soundtracks and Christmas albums dominate the Aussie charts as 2018 comes to a close.

More Queen Queen

It’s been another huge year as far as releases go, with the soundtrack to Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born finishing on top of the Aussie charts for a tenth week and continuing its record as the longest running album to hold #1 on the ARIA Albums chart in 2018.

It’s closely followed by the Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack, while Michael Buble’s Christmas holds steady #3 and The Greatest Showman pushes past Queen’s Greatest Hits to #4.

Fans couldn’t get enough of The Greatest Showman this year, with the Reimagined version of its soundtrack also finishing high up (#6), while Queen’s The Platinum Collection, Buble’s Love and Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas also make the top 10.

Ed Sheeran just scraped into the top 10 with ÷, while Eminem’s Kamikaze (#12) and Amy Shark’s acclaimed Love Monster (#14) also received notable rises.

The only debut on this week’s Albums chart came from 21 Savage with I Am > I Was entering at #34.

Over on the Singles chart, it’s Christmas music galore, with Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You (#1) joined by festive debuts from The Jackson 5, Tony Bennett, Burl Ives, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, Ella Fitzgerald and more.
