This Indie Adelaide Act Might Be Opening One Of Ed Sheeran’s Biggest Shows

It's down to six unsigned acts.

More Germein Germein Profile

Adelaide sister trio Germein might be opening for pop superstar Ed Sheeran later this month.

The Australian group are one of six unsigned acts in the running to play the final date on Sheeran’s massive ÷ World Tour, which wraps at Chantry Park in the UK on August 26.

Amidst extensive touring in the UK, Germein entered a competition to open for Sheeran, and after being selected for the top 30, they performed and won a heat in Manchester to make the top six.

This Friday night, Germein will perform at Epic Studios, Ipswich alongside the five other finalists before a panel of music industry figures decide who will play a 20-minute set at the Chantry Park show.

Sheeran’s ÷ World Tour swept through Australia early last year and broke multiple records.
