Five dates next February for the UK masters.
Wire are one of the best punk rock bands to ever come out of England. Hell, they're one of the best punk rock bands to have ever come out of anywhere! Formed in 1976, the group released their punchy debut Pink Flag in 1977, a record that remains a classic to this very day, and have gone on to release 13 albums over the past few decades.
They are considered by many to be one of the most influential bands to come out of the punk and post-punk movements and while they were never a chart topping, big selling band, they have been such an enormous musical inspiration to so many bands – from REM to Minor Threat – over the years.
This year the band released their latest LP Change Becomes Us – you can read a review here – and they've now sworn their touring member Matthew Simms as a permanent part of the band. Now they're coming to Australia next year to play the Perth Festival and a bunch of club dates around the country.
You can find all the details for the shows, which are presented by The Music, below and you can grab tickets from Thursday 14 November onwards.
