The Vote That Matters – Help Dream Rimmy Get On Falls Downtown

Sure the world has focused its attention on the current US election, but there’s a more pressing poll underway right now on home soil that will determine which buzzing act will score a spot on the upcoming Falls Downtown bill alongside heavyweights Childish Gambino, London Grammar and more.

The festival unveiled its Foster Band competition last month, with a number of media outlets throwing their support behind a different local act in order to get them onto the line-up through public voting. It didn’t take long for us to gravitate to an act that is on the cusp of something truly great – shoegaze masters Dream Rimmy, who you can spy on the cover of our special WA issue.

The Freo six-piece have come a long way since forming in 2014, really honing in on a natural vibe that translates perfectly to the stage. And we bet it’d sound mighty fine blasting from the Falls Downtown speakers.
