'Those songs are sick.'
Travis Barker teased something was in the works with The Veronicas when he tagged the Brisbane duo in an Instagram story late last year and now we know just what that was all about.
Appearing on this week's episode of The Music Podcast, The Veronicas have confirmed they have recorded new music with the blink-182 drummer and are continuing to work with him and producer John Feldmann.
Having already worked with Feldmann on their 2007 album, Hook Me Up, Jessica Origliasso said the collaboration with Barker came about after she reached out to the Goldfinger frontman who produced blink's 2016 Grammy-nominated album, California.
"We're putting together the songs, but yeah, we're still doing more work with [Barker] and John," Origliasso told The Music Podcast host Neil Griffiths.
As to whether the songs with Barker will feature on their new album, expected to drop later this year, Origliasso could not confirm or deny.

"I would like to say yes, we would love to have some of those tracks make this record... those songs are sick," she said.
"It's sort of deciding whether those songs will go on a Veronicas record or whether they'll go on a side project release because John was loving it."
On the latest episode of The Music Podcast, The Veronicas reveal more details about the forthcoming record and their brand new track, Think Of Me. Listen to the full episode below.
