Stan to fast-track the 18-episode series

There’s been a number of exciting announcements surrounding the revival of David Lynch’s iconic ‘90s series Twin Peaks, and now the moment of truth is here, with an Australian premiere date locked in for May.

There is already a slew of cult followers pencilling in the psychological/supernatural thriller/mystery as a contender for show of the year, which has been picked up by Australian streaming service Stan.

On May 22, Stan will debut the two-hour premiere followed by an additional two hours, with the limited Showtime series (18 episodes) fast-tracked from the US the following weeks.

Showrunners have confirmed the new Twin Peaks episodes will be a continuation of the original series, which wrapped after two seasons and a film in ’92.
