One of the most iconic venues in Australia, The Triffid in Meanjin/Brisbane, will host a very special event uniting some of the city’s brightest artisan figures with a pumping soundtrack from crash-hot DJs.
The aptly named Music & Makers Market will go down next Saturday, November 4, in The Triffid’s outdoor beer garden. Running between 2pm and 6pm, it’ll be free to attend. In addition to its suite of performing DJs, the space will be lined with stalls hosting what the event’s team declare to be “Brisbane’s finest sellers”.
There will be ten stalls in total, sporting jewellery from Beefcake Jewels, Baosi and IZODA Jewellery, handmade leather bags and accessories from Kimi Scheiren, hand-crocheted hats from My Chunky Loops, stained glass goods from Glassworx Gremlin, small-batch ceramics from Sadie Makes, engraved mirrors, ashtrays and tufting from Simple Hands, and upcycled, hand-stitched clothes from Daggy Rags.
All in all, the events looks primed to offer a beautiful weekend arvo of community, music and crafts – we can’t wait to see all the incredible art and fashion on display.
