The Smith Street Band Announce National Tour

I was lucky enough to see THE SMITH STREET BAND play to a very intimate crowd recently in a small office space in suburban Perth (also known as the PILERATS office or 'The Pile' for short). It was hard not to be immediately struck by the brutally honest lyrics and inspiringly cathartic performance from frontman WILL WAGNER.

The lads have been super busy lately, as well as working on a batch of new tunes they've also managed put together a massive Australian tour, bringing along Poison City Weekender pals Joyce Manor (USA) and Cheap Girls (USA) for the ride. This will be the first trip to Oz for both of these acts.

It has been an amazing few weeks; THE SMITH STREET BAND's biggest ever headline show ever (Melbourne’s Corner Hotel) SOLD OUT in just five days. Their album ‘Sunshine & Technology’ placed at at #13 in No Heroes Magazine's Top 50 Australian Heavy Albums Of All Time and the lads announced a month-long, inaugural tour of the UK and Europe, plus a slot on the line-up for the famous ‘Fest’ in Gainesville, Florida.

This tour is your last chance to catch the band before they venture overseas to see all the places and make a bunch of new friends with their infectious, lyrically striking, hook-laden tunes.
