The Seed Fund Reveals 2014 Grant Recipients

Artists and managers to get a leg-up

The artists and managers who will receive grants from The Seed Fund this year have been announced.

On the artist front, indie-electro and roots blended muso Wafia, alternative-pop outfit Fox & Fowl and Spanish-infused track-maker Cristian Campano will all be given the opportunity to record a song with a renowed Aussie producer. Wafia will work with John Castle, Fox & Fowl with Steve Schram and Campano with Tony Buchen.

Three artist managers will receive support of up to $5,000 to supplement their wages or pay to an assistant during heavy workload periods and limited commission. These managers are Monique Rothstein (Little May, Convaire), Deb Suckling (Sahara Beck, Jackie Marshall, My Fiction Us) and Ben Robinson (Crooked Colours).

24 managers will also get the chance to take part in The Seed Fund's yearly management workshop this August. They are:
