Will Australia be next?

While it was not the announcement Australian fans were hoping for, it has been confirmed that The Rolling Stones will be well and truly back on the road in just a few weeks' time, with a series of US dates announced this evening, Australian time, as well as the band's return to Hyde Park for the first time in 44 years.

The band have announced eight dates in the US, though you can expect another eight to be announced before long.

The Stones last played Hyde Park in 1969 and tonight announced their return to the iconic location to go alongside their already announced headline slot at the Glastonbury festival. Aussies The Temper Trap are among the support acts.
