The hard-working, hard-rocking trio will kick off their Australian sojourn at The Zoo, in Brisbane, on Friday 23 September; the show marks their first showing in the Queensland capital in three years, so expect the bar to be set super-high at the outset before the roadshow makes its way south to tear up Melbourne's Corner Hotel (24 September); The Gov, in Adelaide (25 September); Caravan Music Club, in Melbourne (28 September); Hobart's Republic Bar (29 September); and Sydney's Oxford Art Factory, where the impending tour will round out on Friday 30 September.
It's been a couple of years now since the band released an album — their most recent is 2014's REV — but they've nonetheless stayed frosty in the interim through their world-renowned live shows and taking the time to put out a Record Store Day 7", featuring the excellent Hardscrabble Woman, for which the band recently released a brand new animated video. Check it out below.
The Reverend Horton Heat will be joined for the first three shows of their tour (Brisbane, first Melbourne performance and Adelaide) by Aussie-made rockabilly torch-bearer Pat Capocci.
