Folk punk fans won't want to miss this.
Canadian purveyors of Irish folk infused punk frivolity The Real McKenzies, haven't been on Australian shores in ten years, but they are fixing that this August and September as they meet up with their old touring buddies and label mates The Go Set for what is sure to be a raucous tour of Australian pubs and clubs.
The Canadian band, which features a revolving line up of musicians which has included the likes of Descendents Karl Alverez and currently boasts Sean Sellers of Good Riddance fame, have been doing what they do for the past 20 years and have earned themselves plenty of kudos in the punk rock community in that time. They're still going strong; their latest LP Westwinds released just a year ago.
Melbourne's The Go Set are celebrating their tenth anniversary with this tour, the band cementing themselves as one of Australia's most hardworking punk rock bands over the past decade with plenty of hard touring both at home and abroad.
The bands play nine shows throughout Australia; tickets are on sale from Monday 3 June onwards.
