The Panics' Jae Laffer Announces Debut Solo Album

He's going at it alone with 'When The Iron Glows Red'

Best known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the ARIA award winning Perth band The Panics, Jae Laffer has announced he's going solo and will release an album over the coming weeks.

When The Iron Glows Red will be available from Friday 27 September via Dew Process/Universal Music Australia. The first single from the record, Leave A Light On is officially out next week and is a vibrant, pop number that has no doubt set the tone for what we can expect from the whole release. Laffer will also be taking this new material out on the road for a handful of shows, with a handful of shows locked in for October and early November. Check out all the details below.

And for lovers of The Panics, never fear - Laffer's solo venture doesn't mean that the band is dispanding. “The Panics are still very much together, but I saw this as an opportunity to take ideas and themes true to myself and see them from start to finish in one burst of inspiration, without looking up,” the multiple WaMi award winner said.
