The National Play Festival, a celebration of the richness and imagination of playwrights and a showcase for new Australian stories returns in 2016.
Now in its ninth year, the NPF is hosted annually in a different state, this year taking place at Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne.
There will be public readings from some of the most dynamic new plays by leading writers, a series of public talks, and a range of masterclasses an workshops exploring the frontiers of writing.
There will also be key note address presented by one of Australia's most celebrated playwrights, Michael Gow, entitled The Agony & The Agony.
