The ascendant duo will drop new LP 'Monterey' mid-next month
Acclaimed folk duo The Milk Carton Kids are expanding their impending Australian sojourn to perform at the forthcoming Bello Winter Festival with the announcement of a string of tour dates up and down the east coast while they're in the country this June and July.
Coming hot on the heels of the release of the band's third studio full-length, Monterey, on Friday, 15 May, The Milk Carton Kids will get their wider Aussie tour under way at Sydney's City Recital Hall on Sunday, 28 June, heading down to Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre on Tuesday, 30 June, and back up to Brisbane to perform at the Old Museum on Friday, 3 July, ahead of their ultimate performance at the Bello Winter Festival in Bellingen on 4 July.
The dates mark The Milk Carton Kids' first such tour since 2013, the same year they released their breakthrough LP, The Ash & Clay. The two years since have done nothing to dull the sharp upwards climb of the two-piece, having gone on to be nominated for a Grammy Award (Best Folk Album) and win the Group Of The Year prize at last year's Americana Music Awards.
Tickets for The Milk Carton Kids' forthcoming Australian shows are available now. See theGuide or check The Music App for details.
