"I wrote this song after a few comments from men in the music scene when the band was new that left me feeling small and valueless."
Melburnian folk/country act The Mae Trio are only two months off releasing their second album, Take Care Take Cover, and have today announced an east coast tour in support of it.
The ladies have also been generous enough to share a new single with theMusic.com.au readers called Well Enough Alone, the first song from the album.
The band's Maggie Rigby says, "I wrote this song after a few comments from men in the music scene when the band was new that left me feeling small and valueless.
"This is song is about deciding not to take those judgements on board, not to lie down and take crap from anyone, no matter who they are."

The band, leaving behind two unfinished uni degrees and a primary school teaching job, have been traipsing the globe playing shows in North America, Europe and the UK, as well as folk festivals in Nashville, Glasgow and of course, back here in Australia.
Their forthcoming tour will kick off on 18 April in Cronulla before heading north to Brisbane and Gold Coast. In May, the trio will head to shows in Kyneton and Thornbury.
