Stalwart British indie-rockers The Maccabees have announced a pair of headline sideshow dates to complement their impending performance at this year's Falls Music & Arts Festival.
The Spit It Out scribes hit Sydney's Metro Theatre on Monday 4 January before heading down to 170 Russell, in Melbourne, on Wednesday 6 January. Tickets for both shows go on sale from 10am next Thursday 8 October.
The impending trip is The Maccabees' first to Australia since being a part of the Groovin The Moo festival back in 2012, and brings with it a freshly matured outfit in the wake of their acclaimed fourth LP, Marks To Prove It. The new album made its debut at #1 in the UK, keeping up the quality from 2012's Mercury Prize-nominated Given To The Wild nabbing rave reviews from critics and fans around the world.
