Their show That's Showbiz will be part of the festival.
The Lowdown Hokum Orchestra and Burlesque Revue are bringing their new show That's Showbiz to the Sydney Fringe Festival in September.
That's Showbiz has got it all, really: there's story-telling, hot hokum jazz and blues and burlesque, performed by a stellar cast of Aussie musicians, dancers and actors.
The story follows jazz diva Dee Dee Delore (Nichaud Fitzgibbon) and her impresario husband (Mark Cutler) as they try to revive Dee Dee's career with a burlesque stage show based on her life. Problems arise when Dee Dee insists her husband hire her former musical partner, lover and now struggling blues musician (Doc White) to play himself in the show. It's gonna be jazz, blues and jealousy.
