The Lost Lands Expands 2018 Line-up; Wages War Against Plastic

As if the 2018 Lost Lands bill wasn’t overflowing with talent already, organisers have today added three new acts to the line-up

After locking in headliners Tim Finn, The Jungle Giants, Kate Miller-Heidke and more earlier this year, the beloved Victorian event now welcomes The Teskey Brothers, Jess Locke and Amaru Tribe to the ranks.

Festival founder Simon Daly said the three new additions illustrated the festival's dedication to showcasing diverse talent.

“It’s important that The Lost Lands supports and celebrates all forms of diversity in the music scene, ensuring the next generation of Australians are exposed to a variety of musical talent,” he said.

Running from November 3-4 November at Werribee Park, The Lost Lands will once again feature a stacked Arts & Wonder line-up, featuring Gravity & Other Myths, The Listies, Born In A Taxi, Laughter Yoga and more, while placing a strong focus on sustainability practices.

In 2018, The Lost Lands will remove single-use plastic from the main event site, including plastic bags, water bottles, straws, plastic cutlery and more, with the goal of becoming one of the first single-use-plastic free music festivals in Australia by 2019.

“The Lost Lands is an event focused on family and fun. With that comes a responsibility to pass on environmentally-aware values and actions onto our young ones,” Daly said.

“This move will set a benchmark for how festivals can run successfully, whilst minimising their footprint.”
