Ticketmaster Australia continues to throw its support behind emerging artists, today unveiling their annual New For '19 lists.
Broken into two categories, Break Out and Break Through, Ticketmaster has highlighted ten local acts they tip for big things.
The artists featured on the Break Out list are ones “who started generating initial buzz across 2018 and are in the growth stages of their musical careers”, while the Break Through list features “those a little further on in their careers” who are primed to be future headliners.
Here’s who made the cut:
Break Out
A Swayze & The Ghosts, Bugs, Erthlings, Genesis Owusu, Luboku
Break Through
Eves Karydas, Kaiit, Kian, Kwame, Ruby Fields
“It’s important for us to be able to support artists at every stage of their careers,” Ticketmaster Content Manager and Blog Editor Gloria Brancatisano said.
“From artists like Erthlings who haven’t even finished high school yet and only have a couple of singles released or Bugs who have been honing their craft in smaller bandrooms for years and have recently really made a break for it, all the way to the likes of Kaiit and Kwame who are ready to take their music internationally – we want to give them exposure in any way we can.
“Our teams are at the forefront of the industry, and as music lovers they have their ears to the ground when it comes to who is the next big thing, we want to share those artists with the world.”

"By creating online features via profiles or interviews, or by filming live sessions, we can promote this engaging and unique content across Ticketmaster channels in 21 markets around the world. It’s one of the many ways that our Artist Services division can really support and develop artist careers.”
